Death of a Unicorn (2025)
🪖 Isolated, surrounded, and fighting for their lives — one soldier must guide the only survivor to safety behind enemy lines.
Valiant One (2025) is a gritty war thriller directed by Steve Barnett, set in one of the most dangerous and politically tense regions in the world. The film delivers a raw survival story that focuses not just on combat, but on fear, leadership, and sacrifice.
The story begins when a U.S. Army helicopter carrying a ground team is shot down inside the isolated demilitarized zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea. The crash instantly turns a routine mission into a nightmare.
Out of the entire crew, only three Americans survive: a young and terrified non-combatant, a badly wounded pilot, and a hardened, cynical soldier named Lieutenant Valiant.
With North Korean forces closing in rapidly, communication cut off, and no immediate rescue in sight, Lieutenant Valiant is forced to take command. Despite his emotional distance and internal scars, he becomes the group’s only hope.
The survivors must travel on foot through dense forests, heavily mined terrain, and constant danger, trying to reach the South Korean border before it’s too late.
As the journey continues, the danger isn’t just external. The group struggles with fear, pain, and mistrust. Injuries worsen, morale collapses, and every decision carries deadly consequences.
Lieutenant Valiant must confront his own past and sense of duty, balancing cold military logic with the responsibility of protecting lives.
At its core, Valiant One is not just a war film. It is a powerful exploration of what courage really means when survival is uncertain and hope feels distant.
The film highlights how leadership can emerge in the darkest moments, and how heroism often comes from unexpected places.
