Hopper and his group are still stuck underground, while Joyce, Mike, and the others are trapped inside with Will.

The shadow creature is no longer hiding its intentions.

Will’s Hidden Message

Closing the Gate

Hopper and Eleven descend into the underground tunnels to reach the gate.

The shadow creature senses Eleven immediately and reacts violently, sending Demodogs to stop her.

Slowly, painfully, she closes the gate.

The connection snaps.
