Hopper Connects the Dots

Chief Hopper continues digging into Hawkins Lab. He confronts the lab director, who denies everything.

Hopper doesn’t believe him. The fake body, the strange behavior, and the lab’s control over the town all point to one thing—the government knows exactly what’s happening.

Hopper also starts taking Joyce seriously. He doesn’t fully understand her claims yet, but he can no longer dismiss them as grief-induced madness.

Eleven’s Past Is Revealed

In Mike’s basement, the boys try to understand Eleven. Through simple questions and flashbacks, we learn she grew up inside Hawkins Lab, where she was constantly tested and monitored.

She never had a normal childhood.

The boys create a makeshift sensory-deprivation tank for Eleven using a kiddie pool and salt, helping her focus her abilities.

Inside this trance-like state, Eleven sees Will—alive, hiding in the dark world.

This confirms what Joyce believes and what the boys hope.

Will is alive.

Jonathan and Nancy Get Closer

Elsewhere, Jonathan and Nancy begin forming an uneasy bond. Jonathan suspects the monster killed his brother’s friend Barb, who disappeared earlier.

Nancy struggles with guilt, sensing something is deeply wrong.

Their storyline adds emotional weight, showing how the mystery is hurting more than just one family.
