Saiyaara (2025) is a heart-tugging Bollywood romantic musical drama that explores the healing power of love and art. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie stars debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in roles that have left audiences teary-eyed and critics applauding. With a mesmerizing soundtrack, emotional depth, and strong performances, Saiyaara has quickly risen to become one of the biggest blockbusters of 2025.
Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday) is a struggling musician with a storm of emotional baggage. He stumbles upon heartfelt poetry written by Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a shy woman working in publishing. Moved by her words, Krish seeks her collaboration—and their partnership soon transforms into something deeper. Through shared creativity and vulnerability, both begin to heal from past wounds.
Just as their relationship blossoms, Vaani is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Hiding the truth from Krish, she begins to distance herself. A heartbreaking twist occurs when Vaani mistakenly calls Krish by her ex-boyfriend’s name. Devastated but silent, Krish channels his pain into a powerful song called “Saiyaara,” which becomes a global sensation.
Months later, Krish sees Vaani in a viral reel and sets off to find her. He discovers her at an ashram in Himachal Pradesh. Though she doesn’t recognize him, Krish stays by her side, using memories and music to rekindle their love. In an emotional finale, Vaani begins to remember—and the two reunite as Krish performs at Wembley Stadium, with Vaani by his side.
Saiyaara was directed by Mohit Suri, known for emotionally rich films like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. Initially conceived as a potential Aashiqui 3, the story evolved into a standalone saga. Principal photography began in late 2024 and wrapped in March 2025, with many scenes shot in scenic Himachal Pradesh and London.
The soundtrack of Saiyaara is already being hailed as one of the finest Bollywood albums of the decade. With music by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Sachet-Parampara, Vishal Mishra, and others, the songs blend pain, hope, and passion into unforgettable melodies.
Vocals by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Jubin Nautiyal, and Shilpa Rao breathe life into the lyrics. The title track “Saiyaara” has become a viral hit, resonating globally with anyone who’s ever experienced love and loss.
Saiyaara shattered expectations with a record-breaking opening weekend, earning over ₹300 crore globally within its first 10 days. It became the second highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, and is now being celebrated as a major victory for films starring newcomers.
