Their suspicions are confirmed when they uncover a secret underground lair housing the Thuggee cult, led by the sinister Mola Ram (Amrish Puri). The cult seeks to dominate the world by collecting all five Sankara stones, using their power to unleash terror. Indiana, Willie, and Short Round are thrust into a harrowing struggle as they face dangerous rituals, enslaved children, and the sinister effects of the cult’s control.

The film’s climax features iconic moments of action, including a pulse-pounding mine cart chase and a dramatic showdown on a collapsing rope bridge. Indiana’s courage and resourcefulness are tested as he battles to recover the stone, free the enslaved children, and thwart Mola Ram’s plans.
